Me: Grace, Mrs Reeb told me that you didn't finish your elf paper. Is there a reason you didn't finish your elf?

Landon: Mom, its ELFabet!

What a doll!

Ready for the jolly fat man

We are totally ready for Christmas, less a few pieces of fruit and candy for the stockings! The kids are giving each other a gift this year, which should be darling! I am really going to photograph it this year instead of sitting there in my jam jams in an early morning daze.

I am SO excited to get to help at the Christmas Party in Grace's classroom. Its a formal party, so the kids get to dress fancy. It is going to be darling. I'll surely photograph it too!

I have decided I would like to travel the United States, bouncing from town to town visiting all of my family and friends and sightseeing. It will never happen, but a girl can have a Christmas wish for Santa, right?

We're feeling the pinch of the economy right now. I wish that I could do more for my family, friends and charitable organizations. I would love to win a huge lump of cash and just give it away.....

Well, I've let my imagination boil over onto my keyboard, so I'll quit babbling. If I don't post more photos before Christmas............
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Give thanks to the Lord for He is GOOD....

As I sit here this morning, checking emails, getting Grace on the bus, and drinking my coffee, I think of how many things I have to be grateful for! So often, I get caught up in the business of life that I don't slow down to give thanks to the Lord for all that I have in life. Sometimes it is so easy to focus on the negative, that the positive is left in the shadows!

My mom's health and life may be in jeopardy right now. I am thankful that I have a loving, involved mama who is there for me and my family every day of her life.

It is hard to make ends meet when there is no margin between income and spending. I'm thankful we have food on the table, cars that run, a beautiful home, and healthy children.

The Christmas season is just so darned busy. I am thankful that we can give our children a TRULY blessed Christmas, no matter how much we had to scale back this year!!! They have more than many children ever could dream.

Having Bipolar Disorder is a cross to bear every day of my life. I am thankful for good insurance that pays for my doctors visits and low copays for my medications.

I sure feel lonely without a bunch of godly sisters in my life. I am thankful for the close friends that I have. They are a blessing of abundance in my life!

See- there is a silver lining. In every storm of life, we must PRAISE Him! In every circumstance, there is SOMETHING to be thankful for! The things that we take for granted every day can bless us so much if we take the time to see them for the gifts that they are!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Me: Lets talk about something we can be grateful for this Thanksgiving.
Grace: I am so thankful we are not like the starving kids in Alaska.
Me: Alaska???
Lonnie: Africa???
Grace: Yeah, Africa. They have scary animals there- and spiders.
Lonnie: There are spiders here too.
Grace: Yeah, but Landon kills the spiders here!

LOL!

Last photo upload for awhile

Wanted to catch everyone up on the kids, so..... Thanks for bearing with all the photos! Hope you enjoy!

More pics? No way! :D

Our first "real" blog post

My little girl was an angel for her photo shoot yesterday! I got her ready after school and we rushed to Eureka to a run down mill. It was about 40 degrees and the sun was setting- we were trying to beat the sun and the temp drop. Poor Grace was a real trooper, but if you notice- her hands were tucked into her sleeves for lots of the shots!
I would really like to take a photography class when things slow down (yeah right) around here. I want to learn more about my camera and digital photo editing. You never know- maybe when the kids grow up, I'll be a photojournalist. Right now, I need to get Adobe Lightroom so I can edit my photos, because currently- what you see is what I shot. No color adjustments, no angleing the shot. If it is angled, I tilted my head to the side! LOL!

I hope today finds everyone blessed to the fullest! Remember- our God is an AWESOME God!

Kids' Autumn Photos (by Mommy)

Oops- I think I forgot to tell you! I LOVE photographing my kids!

A new place to blog

Well, here I am, ready to document life as we know it. I have found the loves of my life- God and my kids- Grace and Landon. They are 5 and 3 1/2 right now. I am an avid lover of family, Bible Study, Beth Moore, Great Oaks Community Church, and working out. I'll be more exciting in the future, but right now I want to get back downstairs to be with my boy! Blessings!
